Holy mother of god, its been awhile.

That calls for an update! I'm sure theres about 0 people who read this blog, but I'm going to make a post anyway!

Today I received an old schwinn suburban from a friend. My plan is to make it into a fixed gear.
A couple photos:
5 minutes after getting it

After cleaning it up a bit and giving it handlebars and stripping it.

Possible paint job in the future. Right now I need to order some wheels and a front brake.

Now, some more news with whats happening.
On saturday (August 1st or something), I will be leaving for Canada! I'm going fishing for a week at an outpost cabin. I will take a ton of photographs and post them all up on flickr as soon as I can after the trip. I'm gonna update this blog with photos and the highlights of the trip as well. All photos from last years canada trip can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peastthebeast/sets/72157606833414206/

Well gang, thanks for reading if any of you did. Look forward to my next blog post as it will hopefully be filled with awesome photographs. Thats assuming I don't get killed by a tornado in Canada. Speaking of which, did anyone hear about that? I wasn't aware they had tornados in Canada.

Whatever.. Bye!

Today I met a super cool guy.

Today i was fishing with some friends and I had my hasselblad sitting on my tripod. I see some dude sitting at the table next to ours smoking. He looked fairly sketchy. I walk up there and sit down and start texting somebody, cause I felt like this dude was trying to snatch our stuff. He lights up a joint and approaches me. He look up at him and he says, "Hey mannnn, is that a hasselblad?". I reply with "Hell yeah dude. You're the first person to talk to me about it." We talked about film and all that for awhile and the whole time he's just puffing on this joint. He told me about a couple of his buddies that were photographers and had hasselblads back in the day and how he knows a fair amount about gear and such. So he finished his joint and we bid each other farewell. He was way out of yelling distance when I realized I didn't get his name or his photograph. I've been kicking myself all day about it.
It's amazing how good it makes you feel to have something in common with a complete stranger and then have a conversation with them like you've known them for your whole life. I really hope I see this guy again. He's sick as hell.

Today was so good, I wish every day could be like this.

This post is filled with hype

I'm getting 8 rolls back from california this week, all color. I found some old BW rolls to develop as well. Get pumped.

Quick update with my life, I haven't been taking many pictures. Instead I've been doing homework, drinking tea, and playing xbox. Shit yeah.

Rollin out, later.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hey guys, I'm chilling in a motel room in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my grandpa. I'm fairly bored so I decided I'd update my blog. I'm driving to California for spring break with my family.

Well, here is a photo I took at a park behind my house. This park is pretty huge, so I go there fairly often to just sit or take photos. This was the second snow we'd had all year. I decided to go out and shoot through this roll, and test out my new meter. I ended up shooting the whole roll, which when I started only had 1 shot on it. I didn't get anything but complete shit out of it, except for this shot. I love the fact that I don't have to drive away from my house for hours to find something to take photos of.

Shitty post. Bye.

Ungrateful.

De'Angelo Joseph

This is Dee. He's one of my favorite people to skate with. He's one of the few skaters in my town that is actually a cool person.

I often find myself thinking "I really wish I lived somewhere else, I wish I had cooler people to skate with, why is everyone such a prick, etc". I reckon' just about everyone has had thoughts like this before. When I stop to think, what little we have, how few skaters we have... how much I cherish the small scene my town holds. I've grown to gain such a relationship with the skateboarders in my town and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I spend just about every weekend skating with these kids. The photo's on this roll of film have helped me to realize that while I may not have much, I should cherish what I do have. I need to stop being so unhappy with what I have and just enjoy it.

Well yeah, anyway, this is a portrait of Dee, followed by a tre flip off of the local side walk gap.

Enjoy.
